Re: 1991-2016 the 25th Anniversary of the CD-I

Sounds interesting and like an awesome idea. Always fun to hear about projects putting CD-i in the spotlight a bit. Sound very hard to actually get everything you're looking for together. I might have a few interesting things, but my modest collection is also lacking in quite a few area's. I do have...

Re: The Art of Performing - Dutch CD-i by NOB

Oh, nice find Bas! Very cool!
Could be a rather late title then... perhaps created to celebrate their ten year anniversary (1998 I believe)?
At that point I had well moved on from CD-i back then.

The Art of Performing - Dutch CD-i by NOB

I came across this title and had never seen nor heard of it before. Does anyone else have it? Do you know when it was released exactly and for what purpose? There doesn't seem to be a date on the case inlays, nor the CD itself. There's also no credits sequence, heck the title doesn't even feature th...

Steel Machine video review and some extra info!

Hey there everyone! Wow, it’s been a while since I dropped by here and in fact did anything CD-i related. Too long actually! I feel totally bad too, as I’ve been sitting on some info to share for about half a year now! So sorry for that, been out of the loop for a bit. Over the summer I started work...

Thanks guys! I'll probably put up a video with all the end stages and death scenes soon. I've got them anyway, might as well share the experience, as I don't think they're available yet. I am rather annoyed about the graphical glitching going on from the capture though, other CD-i games don't seem t...

Been a long while huh? But I finally put together a new video about a CD-i game. This one is on The Lost Ride.

A great collection you've got there, awesome! How long have you been collecting CD-i for? I might make some pictures sometime too, to show what I've got. I see a few titles in there I don't have though, cool! I also collect just about everything and have a couple of doubles here and there. I see you...

Thanks Trev! Yeah, it's a pretty enjoyable game. Pretty curious about these cheat files though, if they are even that. Also something else I've found. I believe there is again a lot of unused audio, or stuff that I personally never discovered in the game. I haven't heard all the speech and it's stor...

Cheats in Secret Mission?

Was just browsing through the files on the Secret Mission disc and these kind of caught my attention: smcheat_.rtf smcheat3.rtf smcheat4.rtf I have no clue what they are for, but am kind of curious. As far as I know, there are no cheats for the game. These could also be old debug files left in that ...

I believe your biggest enemy with such a project would be disc space. CD-i is great for multimedia, but it cannot handle compressions that we know today. If you want speech and animation for each card, you're going to need a lot of space. But if you can overcome that, then I don't see why a game lik...

It first came out on the Macintosh and was controlled with the mouse and keyboard. It's hard converting those controls to a console and the CD-i version is completely broken. It was one of the first CD-i games I did a review on. Not only does it control poorly, it also blows up the graphics, giving ...

Zelda's Adventure - A complete game or a failed project?

I recently managed to pick up Zelda's Adventure and decided to go play it. I was fairly familiar with it already, as my cousin had it back in the day and we played through it then. I've had a test run and have now started a Let's Play series on YouTube , in which I play through the game while giving...

Finally I make something CD-i related again :) I've promised Bas I'd make a video about Joe Guard for over a year now, so it's about damn time I came through with it. I take a look at the prototype game Joe Guard and show you some of the gameplay of both levels. You can find my video of it here: htt...
