But, to clarify my earlier post, I have a dump of the voyeur 2 CD-i disc on my back-up drive, so I guess it's safe :) And to clarify my earlier post, if sectors were bad, you got corrupt data. Period. The problem is that the CD-i uses Data Mode 2 XA, so you can dump a damaged disc, but without the ...

Too bad that you're from the Netherlands and that I didn't see this thread earlier. CD-Rs with damaged sectors are something I deal with daily, it wouldn't be a problem to recover the data.Calypso wrote:some of them are in my collection Voyeur 2 (only the first disk, with damaged sectors, to old writable CD)

Re: Emulator ROM?
So, do you actually have a ROM file? That's not a game but the BIOS ROM of a CD-i player. The emulator doesn't run without it.barpa0 wrote:I got a file for a game somewhere and I did everything you said and still this thing keeps asking for a ROM file.

Ideally, you should have a cue sheet for the image, otherwise the burning program may not be able to know which format the image has. CD-i discs always use Data Mode 2, which was a quite uncommon format and may not be detected automatically. Moreover, you should not just choose any burning program b...

I've searched for the pinouts a while ago also, but wasn't able to find any information. All I can tell you is that the power brick outputs 21V DC at 1.7 Ampere. As for the battery, it has 14.4V. I've wrote a guide how to replace the cells, it is still online: http://www.retro-net.de/cdi/370_akku_de...

The original seal has a strip you could pull, so one side would be cut open. The strip is a thicker layer, and you cannot open the seal with your hands (without pulling the strip). Those are US versions shown in your photo, aren't they? Even though it's obvious that they were re-sealed, they don't ...
