Just A quick update to say I've not given up with the scanning, I've just been lazy :) I'm hoping to get all the remaining issues scanned and release all at one instead of releasing them bit by bit. I'm still looking for help regarding cover discs and other freebies that came with the magazine if an...

Re: New to CD-i . need some basic info about controllers.

Hi All, could someone tell me - do the 'commander' and 'thumbstick' controllers do the same things or do I need both?. Many thanks. Hi, both controllers do the same thing depending on the revision of CD-I depends on which controller you would get. I think the later models had the Commander controll...

I don't own one of these machines so couldn't comment or recommend it.

However it should just be a case of removing the screws on the underneath of the unit and lifting off the lid.

You should hopefully see everything you need to work with without removing any other components.

You need to open the case and check to see if you experience the same results by pressing the microswitch the button makes contact with. Chances are you won't so the next thing to do is check to see if anything obvious is stopping the button from making contact with the micro switch and go from ther...

I'm not sure, I haven't seen many about but I'm not actively looking for variants for this platform.

These prices are just guidelines, doesn't mean it'll sell for that :D my advise is just get some pictures up and think about what you want to charge.

Good luck with you're sale 8)

Is the system a: Goldstar GPI-1100M http://www.icdia.co.uk/players/gpi1100.jpg or Goldstar GPI-110M http://www.schoolsedu.com/Admin/Upload/Schools/634611078030407980_NO%20IMAGE.jpg I can't find reference to this system... If it's the 1100M then you could use this completed auction as a guideline. ht...

If you can please post pictures of the item and if you can of the item working, a price for the item and the cost of postage.

If you can also include a link to feedback from another forum or eBay as you only have 2 posts on here.

I would be looking at the capicators near the problem areas which are in this case: LCD screen and video (scart) there maybe obvious signs like the capicators exploded/cracked or burnt. If this is the case you'll need to replace them. If everything seems ok, you could check for main board for any bu...

So just to confirm:

* You have no display on the TV
* No display on LCD
* There is power to close the draw

I would open the case and check to see if everything looks ok in reference to the capacitors. Also check the motherboard for anything obvious.

Joytech used to do and you can still find the RGB scart switch, however I can and so can many other members on different forums can vouch for the quality of the Madcatz 4 way switcher, its truly an amazing piece of kit with no quality loss. Theres no way your retro machines can natively output comp...

Well I ordered those 2 cables in my second post! The S-Video cable and Audio cables.

Hooked them up and get nothing! WTF!

This CD-i really doesn't like S-Video!

At this rate i'm going to just hook it up via RF and have done with it :)
