Often wonder why Interplay didn't press ahead with a release of games like that and even Battlechess which we know WAS DEVELOPED INTO PROTOTYPE FORM! Just look at all the Connect 4 and other pish board games on ebay, ...

I believe SNES also had this 2-player scheme. At least I noticed a similar design implemented on the box art indicating 2 hands on one joypad!

If you were responsible for Philips Media Games...

which games would you have brought to CD-i? Interesting question I think! :D Personally in retrospect it would have been great to bring more strategy based games, what with the memory on board every CD-i player it seems a missed opportunity. A little late in its day but Imperium Galactica is a favor...

You get a sense of it coming down to the wire with a fatal flaw discovered in a near final version with the potential to s...

Micro Machines Special Edition... again!

Just wanted to highlight the article Bas posted here on Interactive Dreams. I've been conducting a little research with much help from Ashley Hogg, the CD-i version developer. Just to clarify a few points, the special edition as the only version released on CD-i featured more levels than the other p...

That controller will work fine but a GT-i joypad is the best controller for CD-i by far, if you can find one!

Don't worry! We won't burn you at the cross for cancellation of CD-i games... promise  You talk a lot of sense and from my experience conducting retrospectives and interviews, the best games for CD-i came from small close knit teams. My personal preference includes games like The Apprentice by...

Interesting you should mention the city golf game, I recently uncovered a small article about that with Dave McElhatten discussing the technical merits!

Was Citizen Dwayne the game 'A New Day' just under a different name? Also don't recall mention of Ripley game, any more info? :D
