50 games you can enjoy, eh? Yeeeesh, I'm having trouble finding more than 25 or 30. But still, even that is pretty good if you ask me, all things considered. So, what model to get? Well, the most reasonably priced are going to be the 220 (big VCR-like thing), and the 400+ series (450, 490, 550). The...

To run them on your modern PC, you will need a CD-i emulator.

If it is still available come payday (Friday), and if you don't mind shipping to the US again, I will be interested in one of the I/O splitters. :)

Actually, I'd love the Rollerball controller as well, but it probably wouldn't be worth shipping that to the US, hehe.

I have only tried a couple of games with it (primarily the ones I mentioned). Sometime in the future I will spend an afternoon testing out all of the games I have to see what works and what doesn't. I am most interested in finding whether my system is damaged in some way, or if perhaps it lacks elem...

A small update (and some possible bad news)-- I decided to hook this up today again to capture some footage. I ran into some issues though. Trying three games, one wouldn't load at all (Pyramid Adventures). The other two games, Lemmings and Zenith, failed to load certain background elements (usually...

I am sure he has found his answer already, and I don't feel like RTFM right now.

I thought that the DVC just slid into the back of the 210?

I'm not sure what you mean exactly without a link to the auction and/or pictures. But if it's what I think it is, you won't be able to do much with any games if the stick isn't working. All controllers basically do the same thing on the CD-i. They just mostly look different, and feel differently in ...

Thanks, Alan! It is a NTSC player. I can't comment on its rarity, as I am not quite as familiar with all the units out there as everyone else here. I will say, in the last year and a half that I have been searching for CD-i goods (which is at least once a week at the very least, many times more ofte...

Nice one, Bas! So it's likely it's NOT custom-made. That's awesome! Truly a collector's piece, then.. Albeit quite a large one! What interests me about the one on eBay now is that there aren't any coin mechanisms. I wonder if perhaps it was used at a daycare, or in some kind of youth group. I guess ...

Unfortunately, the guy didn't say much. Just "Sorry I have no idea, this is the way I bought it a few years back."

Bummer. I'm going to go with "custom, hand crafted cabinet" on this one. Still, it's neat that someone would take the time to do that.

I sent a message to the seller to see if they can give me any information on it, at least where it came from. We'll see what he/she says! :)

"Lil' Champ CD-i Arcade Game"

I don't know anything about this. It looks like a user-made, custom built setup to me, but I could be wrong. Regardless, it's pretty neat:

You are right, I haven't seen many specialty CD-i players show up lately. I'd definitely like to get one of the Sony ones in the future, but I haven't seen one in a while.
