Well turns out the player still have problems. After playing video for several minutes, playback hangs. If it's a videocd, playback continues after fast forward or play/pause. If it's a game, you usually can return to the menu or skip the video sequence. When the DVC is not being used, the game some...

Well I bought a 22ER9956/40 DVC cartridge with an IMPEG board (removing it was quite easy). However, it turned out my 21TCDI30 did not have an IMPEG but VMPEG 5.1 board (the sticker on the back says 22ER9956/20) I replaced the board anyway and the player is fixed ! Now I feel kinda bad we damaged th...

21TCDI30 problems
With the help of an acquaintance, I just repacled the timekeeper battery, which only had 0.4V left, in a 21TCDI30 (TV with built-in CDI) but unfortunately it didn't fix really fix the main problem I had, i.e. playing DV content. Although I was fearing he destroyed the player completely after he, dur...

Since my player is acting up (only with DV titles it seems, very strange) I tried to check all the discs on my PC with ISO buster. I encounter the following problems. CD-R - All CDr discs: isobuster reports the last 2 sectors as unreadable. however after ignoring those 2 i ended up with the exact sa...

New pictures and added a list of the games. Also the previous pictures I posted actually contained a few PC games by Philips (Sluice & Nihilist) and I have removed them. Can't seem to find anything about Sluice on the internet though. I checked all the CDRs with ISOBuster to see if they were CDi dis...

Box with games saved from the trash at work
Hello. Today I saved box with CD-i games from the thrash at work. I don't have much knowledge about CD-i so I don't know if there is anything really interesting. The box was a mixed bag of seemingly retail, test, beta and burned CD-r discs. I don't know all the games work, especially the CD-r versio...

21TCDI30 remote
Does anyone know if it's possible to use any Philips CD-I remote on the 21TCDI30 (TV with built in CDi). I can get one of these things for free although I don't know if it still works and both the TV and CDI remote seem to be missing. However, I don't think there were any other people interested so ...
