Philips DVD-i Player

Seems to be a little truth to this title! As I just posted on Black Moon... http://www.blackmoonproject.co.uk/pictures/site/news_philips_cdi_dual_layer_dvd_01.gif http://www.blackmoonproject.co.uk/pictures/site/news_philips_cdi_dual_layer_dvd_02.gif I do remember Starship Troopers originally came as...

Dead End was going to get the same push as Burn:Cycle

Found another article that has Dave McElhatten stating that Dead End would get a similar treatment to Burn:Cycle. With a focus on the games music!

Kinda sounded like they would have released a Burn:Cycle type package. Maybe including an audio CD with the game and a big marketing push.

Just watching some of your back log of episodes! Tuning in to Mutant Rampage, that sketch your own doodle? :D

I love this game, although rough around the edges it shows such promise (TWO PLAYER!). Humour is good as well in the silly enemy animations.

Yes, but not those handbooks.

New Media seem to have commissioned it as an introduction to CD-i. Includes some interesting dates and the time of various events which brought us to 'interactive media'.

CD-i Book

Just found a book all about CD-i. It's really quite an interesting read and takes stock of the early history of the format and also a few technical elements about terms used for this new 'interactive' medium. It also states how PIMA announced the agreement with Nintendo to use its game characters. P...

What I read years ago was quite vague, not even a mention of the intended developer!

If anyone can dig up some news clippings on the subject that would be ace and also might help us track down the original studio responsible for this idea.

Re: P.A.W.S

P.A.W.S totally rocked! I still imitate the flying pizza delivery dog going "Yippee!" (But that may say more about me...) /devin readies the straight jacket. Seriously though! :D As you mention Steve, did you ever visit the boffins at redhill or perhaps Philips ADS folk? Crazy mad creative sorts!

I worked on a football game too - not sure if it was the one Steve Hayes was talking about (probably). And then after Philips pulled the whole studio, I worked on P.A.W.S That would be Striker! :D P.A.W.S. that was the dog game right? Always been intrigued by this title but never committed to actua...

Nine Inch Nails - Broken

Not sure if I ever mentioned this before! However for the sake of an on-line reference for anybody that has further information here goes! The one thing I always hoped to find one day would be the interactive title proposed by Nine Inch Nails based on the EP Broken. The CD-i title itself was suppose...
