Windowkiller, seriously, when you're a programmer you should know how irritating it sounds when kids post stuff like that... Now what is your intention? Demanding more updates? I expected more of you... See, that's exactly what I meant when I said that people don't seem to like when I (or others, I...

Thanks for the manual, downloading it now! :D What carrying case are you looking for? Do you have a picture. I would prefer the suitcase especially made for the 370, but this soft case would do as well: http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/1651/caseboz7.gif As long as it's not the larger version for t...

First of all, please don't take the following words as an offence. I just write down my opinion without caring about being polite. That's what I always do, even if most people don't like it. ;) On a PC, getting data from a CD-i disc requires "raw" read techniques which differ greatly accross drives ...

It might only refer to "Digital Video on CD-i" discs, the predecessor of the VideoCD format.

The original printed version, in the first place. Though a scan would do as well because I may never find someone who has only the manual for sale. :(

Actually, the problem with downloaded games isn't that the iso file is often corrupt, but the simple fact that no CD-i is really good in reading burned discs. This is very noticeable for FMV games, as they require constant reading speed, but burned discs tend to produce more reading errors, which ca...

Wanted: CD-i 370 manual and carrying case

My CD-i 370 still lacks the manual and the original carrying case by Philips. If anyone has either of them for sale, let me know! :D

but then, the laser has to be linked somehow to the motor !? just wonder because i thought if the laser would be damaged the cd would spin though. What happens after closing the tray is that the laser first probes if there's a CD inserted at all (by checking if the beam is reflected). If not, then ...

But those auctions don't sell, nobody is willing to pay that kind of money for (i.m.h.o.) such a bad game. Believe it or not, but I saw similar ones that did sell! And lots of "dumb" people who don't know much about the real value believe that it is worth that much, which causes the price for it to...

I mean auctions like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300121480598 Most Zelda's Adventure auctions are buy-it-now ones with such ridiculous prices. If the sellers would just let it start at 1 Euro/US$/whatever, then it would sell for a reasonable price, but since the game is ...

When I got my copy years ago, I only paid about 25 €. :D And it was even still factory-sealed. It's only expensive these days because the game is more known than it was back then. Too bad, since what you have to pay for a copy today is ridiculous...

If the CD does not begin to spin, then most likely the laser is dead. Replacing the motor is just a waste of time, I never saw a dead motor in any CD drive. From all parts, they last longest.
