Will the emulator ever be made free?

CD-i Emulator is the first fully evolving windows compatible emulator project of the Philips CD-i system. Discuss the emulator, compatibility issues, seek help and support to get the program operating and post what you'd like to see in future revisions of the program. CD-i players ROM (BIOS) requests, begging and links will not be tolerated. Otherwise feel free to post your thoughts on this amazing new piece of software.

In the Sources section of my website it says (about the sources):
They will be available at some future date.
That's about all I want to say for now; I'm definitely not committing to a date. It may be a year from now, it may be more. Please remember that I've been working on this for several years now.

I don't understand what that means.

I wasn't asking about code. I was asking about the emulator.

The Source code is what the Binary ie. CD-i Emulator is derived from. So basically when the CD-i Emulators Source is released programmers can expand on CD-i Fans project if they so wish and if (and that's a big IF) they posses the technical know how as CD-i Fan does!!

By releasing the source code to CD-I Emulator, CD-I Fan would be, in effect, giving the program away for free.
It's like 1993 all over again!

What would be the point of releasing a free binary and not the source, anyway?

Please understand this is many months away, at the least...
