An uncommon if not altogether rare CD-i Player

has this something to do with your "Socrates"?
I'm sure it's that Goldstar iteration of the 450, but it surprises me it's called that way!

Correct!!
Unfortunately the guy that ran the auction included a picture of this Socrates player but actually sold a standard Goldstar model. Just a name tag I know but an unusual one, so I was a little pissed he mislead the auction that way. Just another ebay deal I suppose

Well, give him a load of negative feedback then, or discuss a refund

As it turns out this is a worthwhile addition to my CD-i Hardware Collection at a decent price, I had my say all the same however!! If I give negative feedback it really has to be a bad BAD deal.
