Press Information

Post by Devin » Mon Jun 27, 2005 1:44 am

Well, this is my first official update of the ICDIA. Uploaded a few Press Information articles first released February 1996 here, been waiting for the right time to release them and the ICDIA CD-i Promotional Material section is the perfect vessel to store them.

These and more to come were in a box of documents i've neglected to look through properly so I converted them to PDF for your reading pleasure. Even found an old issue of The Interactive Engineer in immaculate condition and (I Think) predating any posted on the ICDIA at the moment. In time this will be converted to PDF also, does anybody else have these Interactive Engineer newsletters?

Any new versions not included on the ICDIA would be great. Must be a few editions locked away in a cupboard somewhere gathering dust!!

what other kind of press releases can we expect? How many?
Any uncommon ones? Any about unreleased material?

One for the 370 player comes to mind, maybe another with unreleased games, can't quite remember. Also a few more relevant to Black Moon which is a statement communicated by John Hawkins about an aggressive line-up of software for CD-i and CD-ROM.

I want to scan a lot of advertisements made throughout the cd-i magazine back catalogue about cd-i games. Perhaps something for the tab "Promotional Material" as well?

there even is a disc about John Hawkins !?

Everything You Always Wanted to Ask John Hawkins (1993)

Nice line-up for PMS, by the way.... we should have all those discs (if they all exist!)

I actually have some odd CD-i presentation disc buried in a box which in turn is buried under another pile of stuff!! Had some strange conference thing going on and may well have been this John Hawkins disc. Although i'd have to double check first.

I wrote all the Games Sections and Joe published this in the Digital Press Advance book along with all these other reference/music/education releases which I had no part in. So don't balme me for any inaccuracy outside of the games! Remember this was two years ago, my CD-i knowledge has advanced considerably since then
