Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. if it's compatible with CD-i it'll work with all types of players. Perhaps you bought the logitech one with the joystick on the D-pad? At that time there was no 4xx serie of CD-i available...

the one that's on the top left of this player here:

The Touchpad is a little sensitive with the various CD-i players. It wouldn't work with my LG or 370 player so it might not with the 400 series as well.

Those are both LG players (from the inside), no? that may be the reason why it doesn't work (different brand), or the reason why they changed this touchpad with the newer gamepad ;) !

One for NTSC & One for PAL

From what I've found on that Model (22ER9017), there are two versions. One for NTSC & One for PAL.
With my own testing, the 22ER9027/00 will play on NTSC players. I sold my other one to someone overseas, so I'm not sure what the /## was. The one I sold and shipped overseas would play on my CDI370 & CDI350 models, but only when I switched the players over to PAL.
Thus why I advertise the CDI SEGA COMBO as not being region coded!

it kinda looks like a snes pad dont you think? My pad is the one thats shaped abit like a mega drive/ genesis pad but with 'blobs' under it (poor description i know) i find it great to use though, works fine with my 210 not sure about the 4** series though :?
