Ok, in testing out the CD-RTOS routines, I converted on old demo to the CD-I. It can be downloaded from http://www.chaos89.com/DemoZone/ or directly at http://www.chaos89.com/DemoZone/CDIChaos89.zip

I need people to test out this file. It's been tested on a CD-I 370 in PAL and NTSC, and a Philips and Magnavox CD-I 450.

A big thanks goes to CD-I Fan for 'helping' me getting this going. I think we exchanged 20 e-mails or more. I would be willing to bet there aren't many people who understand the CD-I more than he does!

So, I've tested it and published the results right here (including a video)

I'm impressed, but I'd like to know what it is you've done with all the techno babble you can type! :D

Works on my 350 BIOS in CD-i Emulator. I'll try burning a disc and running it through the SONY unit.

This is still the 360-NTSC version, right?

You don't mention if your 450s were PAL or NTSC.
Or is that what you meant with Philips vs. Magnavox?

Could everyone please report their PAL/NTSC info with their test?

PS. Thanks for the compliment :)

Yeah, I haven't posted the fixed version. No need to, now that Frog Feast is starting to show progress...

They are actually a Magnavox 550 (NTSC) (Looks just like the 450, I've had it awhile), and a Philips 450 (PAL). Are Magnavox machine NTSC only?

Yes, there is only one set of 450/550 roms: it will display the Philips or the Magnavox logo depending on PAL/NTSC, as verified by CD-i Emulator. This is probably a jumper or something on the real player...
