which brands of CDr and CDrw work on the CDI?

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

I'm not sure of CD-RWs will work on the CD-i, many older systems have a problem with CD-RWs. I've had no problem with most name brand CD-Rs (Maxell).

I'm not sure if I've ever used Memorex. They should work though.

Remember to record at the lower speed your CD-Rom supports.

(Here comes the product plug) :)

And if you want to test out a CD and burning software, try burning a copy of Frog Feast, and trying it in the CD-I.

This is small, so it won't take long to burn. It's not a fully functioning game yet, though. It will run really slow.
