Surviving players!

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Surviving players!

Post by Alan_Eng » Sun Aug 24, 2008 8:24 pm

Hi everyone

It's been widely reported about the sad end of the cd-i 350. All of mine stopped working at the same time.

It makes me concerned that the parts in a cd-i player have a specific lifespan (for example 15 years).

I was wondering if any other players in the series have stopped working completely? If the 350 no longer works, do all of the 210's & 220's still work? (these were all released about the same time).

I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Thanks
Alan

has it? I must have missed the news... I remember you posted about this earlier but haven't read about it since. My 490 still works, it's been in use almost daily by my little niece.
