Timekeeper part

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

Timekeeper part

Post by Alan_Eng » Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I know we've debated this before, but could someone tell me if the item that this guy is selling on ebay.co.uk under item no. 270534264491 is compatible with the 490 (Philips) model please?

Would really appreciate your help.

Thanks
Alan

Even though the auction at eBay has ended, here's what I found:
http://www.icdia.co.uk/players/comparison.html

It's a list of CD-i players and some key info.
Yours is the 490 which has 32k RAM. If you have looked up the specs of the TimeKeeper (M48T08-150PC1), you would know it has 64k RAM.
Though this may not be that bad to have more RAM than you currently have, it's a difference[/a].

The best way to find out which version your device requires to work properly again, is, basically, to open up your CD-i 490 and see what version is currently installed.
