CDI Roller Controller

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

CDI Roller Controller

Hi there,

I have a roller controller however the roller doesnt work.

so either it only supports certain games or it actually doesnt work.

Question is:

Does it only work with certain games?
If so, what games?

Hi Justin,
All types of (wired) CD-i controllers work the same way; The Roller Controller is a generic input device and is supported by ALL CD-i software. If it doesn work, it's probably dust keeping the parts from detecting any movement. It happened to me too, and I removed the screws, opened the controller and cleaned it from all the dust. After cleaning it properly, it worked flawless again. Try it :)

(That, or the cable is broken....:( )
