hi there

i guess this must sound abit stupid..

i own a cd-i for a long time ever since my dad bought one back in 1993
and we bought it with a touchpad

lately i been playing with it again since i was to bored to do something else
and i found the touch pad again aswell hidden under a thick layer of dust
only problem is the wire to plug in to the console is not connected to the touchpad

meaning i got 2 seperate parts
iam pretty handy with a solder and a bit of tin so i can fix that if i have to
but my problem is that i dont know the connectioncolor for each pin

i got 4 wires
black(wich i know is either sync or ground)
red (main power)
orange( together with yellow probably data transfer cables not sure)
yellow
and 1 j pin connector plug
i replaced the plug but id like to find out wich colors go to wich connection
point on the plug so i can use it again
added are the images of the plug and the touchpad

T I A .

please dont comment on the image settings and how bad they are taken iam not used to this new camera yet

please do and let me know the color config from top to bottom
it will save hours of useless searching on the web since the company that made it
never made any hardware blueprints or building schematics

also my nv ram timekeeper chip is dead so iam trying to replace its battery
(and then to know i got the type 210 cd-i one of the first ever made :? )
so far they dont get supplyed in europe >.<
according to the hardware cp store

The wiring of the touchpad you can find in this french pdf on page 3

http://www.gametronik.com/forum/index.p ... st&id=9772

On page 21 you will find the pictures to replace the timekeeper battery.

URGENT

Just found out. (Battery replaced in a CDI220)

The polarity of the wires in this "book" is wrong.
The red wire + needs to be black - and the black wire - needs to be red +.

However the battery in the picture is connected correctly.
The outer contact of the battery is the positive + the inner contact is the minus -. Thats why it did work.

When the wires are cross connected, the battery gets shorted 0,7 V

At this time of writing, The GameTronik people are preparing an english version of this guide, which is overall a much better guide than the former link.
