Recording device with HD and network ports?

Post by Erronous » Thu Mar 01, 2007 10:40 pm

So I just got two laserdiscs with some CD-i promotional stuff on it and I've also got some other stuff which would be nice to transfer to PC. I was wondering what you guys use to capture material from a video source. Ideally I would want something like a DVD recorder, with a hard drive inside and a network port so I can just pull the video via the network to my PC. Then when I see something interesting, I can press a button and it records.... Does something like this exist? I've seen DVD-Recorders with hard disk, but no option to get it to a PC other than burning a DVD. Of course the DVD part isn't really needed...
