Magazines and Publications Section Updated

Post by Devin » Mon Oct 31, 2005 10:49 pm

The Magazines and Publications section of The Black Moon Project has been updated with a rough and ready new format yet to be fully implemented and also the complete scans of CD-i Magazine Issue 1 Volume 1 in PDF format. As far as i'm aware this was the first ever commercial CD-i magazine available and produced directly by Philips. This is no surprise either just take a quick glimpse at a few of the pages which are positively glowing about CD-i!! A few points of interest past the CD-i propaganda machine is a pictured Philips joystick on page 12 and also GO lsited as an upcoming release on page 19. This section is in urgent need of a tidy up so i'll be messing about with the layout a little more, so don't panic if things go crazy

Okay, i've dabbled about with the general layout of this section and it now looks at least half tidy!! Let me know what you make of this and also the PDF of the CD-i Magazine, thanks go out to Mathias for some pointers on PDF creation. I'll probably try to improve the quality of the images displayed in PDF whilst maintaing the compressed file size. Bearing in mind the original scanned images come in at a cool 20MB.

This tape is wrong, is not from spain, is from Italy!!!

The texts are in italian and in tape is write the location of the editor: Milano!

If this is the second edition, the first was in mars/april/may of the 1995.

For the other, great work ;).

Have you read it yet?

It's the most terrible CD-i magazine you'll ever read  quite interesting in retrospect though to observe how the platform was being marketed back in 1992.

If that was a follow-up to me, the answer is no, because that mother&^%$# game-spy is blocked at philips. Is it posted on blackmoonproject.co.uk? if you can show me the link, i'd love to take a peek!

I also think we're talking about the UK edition, right? My collection starts with issue 2. Another one missing is the very last one.

Here's the direct link http://www.blackmoonproject.co.uk/magaz ... ine_01.pdf

This was in fact an earlier magazine published directly by Philips!! Anyway it's a horrible magazine but still contains some interesting bits and pieces.

Wow, that's amazing! I've only seen the front pic on BMP, but this PDF shows a lot i've never seen. Particularly that joystick is a very interesting find, I've never seen it, i didn't know there were official plans for it, and why have they never brought it to the public...?
