cdi on game show

Anything relating to CD-i can be discussed in this forum. From the multiple hardware iterations of the system to the sofware including games, reference, music and Video CDs. Maybe you hold an interest in Philips Media and the many development houses set up to cater for CD-i if so then this is the forum.

cdi on game show

Post by tinkercdi » Fri Jul 30, 2010 2:49 pm

i was very surprised at watching just now a rerun of a game show rerun from about 4 years ago, the show was called fifteen to one and people from the uk might know it. there was a question on it in the category modern technology
it went like this... "the compact disk medium called cdi stores data and sound on a disk, what does the i stand for on this abbreviation " considering the cdi was about 10 years officially discontinued from philips it really shows how the cdi has stood the test of time.
"like tennis!"

Thanks that's very interesting to hear. I know of this quiz which I think has now ended in the UK, but it did run for many years on Channel 4.

If you can find ''Tom O'Connor's Funny Side of Golf'' videocd, you will see him playing Palm Springs Open with his friends in the pub. This is very cool.

Does anyone else have any examples of cd-i featuring on tv shows etc?

Alan
